I love how these birds are able to cling to trees. I am also planning on painting another one but it will be 6 x 6 inches and the nuthatch is sitting on a rock.

The White Breasted Nuthatch is a small songbird found across temperate North America.  They range between 13 - 14 cm in length and weigh between 18 - 30 grams.

White Breasted Nuthatch measures 2.5 x 3.5 inches and is painted on 300 gsm smooth Arches watercolour paper.

Many thanks to Matt MacGillivray for the reference photo.
